Christmas 2006

Christmas 2006 was wonderful. We started the day at Em's usual wake up time which is 7.30am - Rob managed to lie in a bit longer! And of course presents were a top priority - Emma had had lots of practice on her birthday ripping paper and finding the goodies inside with lots of squeals of delight. We then enjoyed a delicious breakfast of savoury and sweet croissants. By this time Em was quiet and tired.. So it was off to bed for her usual three hour day sleep.
In the afternoon we decided Dudley needed a Christmas stroll we were thinking of going to the beach but it was little cloudy so we went to our favourite local park instead. Heaps of other people had the same idea and there was a wonderful atmosphere in the park.
And lastly, we went to my Mum's - all the family was there with Dale & Nell travelling up from Taupo. Emma was spoilt with even more presents. By this time the sun was out so we enjoyed some lazy time catching up while sitting out in the sun. My Mum had gone all out with a gorgeous meal - and had even managed to borrow a table so that could all eat in a very civilised fashion! Emma enjoyed her Christmas meal and even managed to polish off a whole marshmallow chocolate Santa to finish it! And then it was off to bed for Emma although she took a while to settle cos she didn't want to miss the party!

Emmy's trip to the Optician

Hi,

Emmy here, do you like my specs? Mum and Dad reckon I look like a rocket scientist. I think I look like a dork!

INTRODUCTION

Recently a friend shared with me that she is obsessed with blogging... And for ages now (like since Emma has been around) I have been trying to work out a way to share more about Emma with friends/family overseas. I think this may be the answer... It is basically a way of doing some simple journalling of every day events with Emma as well as a chance to show off lots of photos. So hopefully all you overseas people will be able to see more of our wee bundle of joy as she grows.... Enjoy!
