My Little Chef...

One of the wonderful things about going to a local Playgroup is being able to see the toys that Em likes to play with. She always seems to like the family corner with plastic food, dolls, a toy kitchen a toy oven etc... So one particular day I took a photo of the oven and I showed Rob and said 'Emma would like you to make one of these please!' And the picture above is the result - a very cool, very groovy, painted to match her bedroom oven... She is loving playing with it! Thanks Daddy you're sooooo clever.. Now for your next project... a toy kitchen, a dolls house ummm the possibilites are endless....

New Purchase!

This is Rob's new baby... A 150cc Belladonna Scooter. This has been purchased so that I am free to have the car and do very important Mummy things while Rob rides this to work. It costs a whole $6 to fill up with petrol! Really must think of a name for it - any suggestions... The first few times he rode it I sat at home chewing my nails until I heard he had arrived safely at work - don't fully trust Auckland drivers that are rushing to work! Anyway to date he is enjoying riding it - and of course I'm enjoying having the car (although I have been reminded about the cost of petrol!!)

I had a lovely Mothers' Day yesterday. And major headlines for today is Emma is 18 months old today - I'll write a post soon about what she's up to.

Family Fun Day!

I was so excitied to have the weekend off - that we decided that we would make the most of it by venturing out for a family outing/treat. Thanks Jo, for letting me know about Kiwi Valley cause thats where we headed. It's a farm out West in Henderson with heaps of very friendly farm animals. Emma had a ball saying "ROAR" whenever she could to every animal (thats her favourite animal sound although she does a pretty good chicken at the moment too!) It was amazing having animals that usually run away running up to greet us.. although we had food so I think that was there true motivation! Anyway we had a great morning.
